First off let me thank you all for reading this- Its important my blogs get recognized properly
Article six, here we go.

I, Stone, would like to welcome you all to todays wildlife discussion...

The Oceanic Opera- Song Of the Whale

The world beneath  the surface of the ocean is generally a quite place, bereft of sound other than the waves themselves. But there is one type of animal here who sings. They have no external ears, sing with their mouth close, and cannot be heard above water. Below the surface, though, their song travels for miles in every direction, loud and clear. These are the whales, the largest creatures on the planet, ever to exist, outsizing all dinosaurs and every other species- None even come close.
Yet these animals are some of the most gentle, careful species you'll ever find. When the time comes around every year, the songs that unfold from the throat of the whale are some of the most spiritual, angelic sounds on earth. Whale songs have been described, accurately in my opinion, as the most complex songs in the animals kingdom.

The Humpback- Voice of the North
This species is the best known for its song. What is the oddest about this is where the sound originates. Baleen whales do not have vocal cords, defined lips or a flexible tongue. Nobody really even knows how they do make the sound- There are many mysteries about these ocean giants.

Fin whale- Low and Loud
This species, along with its close cousin the Blue Whale, generates the lowest sounds of any animal, so low, actually, that specialized microphones are needed for humans to hear it at all.   The songs of this animals lasts about 7 or 15 minutes. Believed to be for mate attraction, the whale song has also been theorized to be purely joy, an animal singing for its own sake. My personal conclusion would be both- just as many animals use sound for many things, mating calls being only one of them. This whale is also one of the loudest- hundreds of miles from the whale, it is still possible to detect the sound.

Blue Whale- The Living Ship
The largest animal of all time, this animal can accurately be expected to be the lowest sounding. 210 tons of animal produces quite a noise, yet human ears are unable to detect such a specialized tone without the aid of equipment. It's also been concluded that these vocalizations may reverberate off swarms  of potential food, aiding the whale to forage

What exactly are the noises? Well, they sound a bit like creaky doorways with squeaking rubber.
